Drama!

Liz & Zach both tried out
for the Missoula Children's Theatre this year and both got parts! Each year Ocosta Elementary PTSA sponsors this traveling theatre and the kids have one week to try out, practice, and put on a play. This year we did The Jungle Book! Zach was a monkey and Liz was part of Kaa, the snake. They had a blast and did a wonderful job. To celebrate, Carrie made a snake out of cupcakes and monkey cupcakes. We also toasted our little thespians with sparkling cider. Zach says he has a louder voice now that he has been on stage!

Iron Chef, Junior

Chef Liz made dinner for us one night! She had a sous chef (mom) but she was the star of the show! Here she is showing off her delicious creation of Spyglass Noodles with a homemade Tomato Basil sauce and a garlic bread that she made from French bread, garlic, butter & parmesan cheese. It was delicious and the presentation was wonderful! Say hello to the next Food Network star!

Lights, Camera, Action!

Zach was the narrator in his class play, Anansi and The Moss Covered Rock. He had the most lines, which he was allowed to read from the script, but he had them memorized. Mrs. Braun offered to let him make a hat like Ashley is wearing, but he declined! He did a great job and enjoyed his part very much!
