Olympic Game Farm

We made a few new friends on spring break! We made the loop around the Olympic Peninsula for the first (and might I add the last) time. Our first day was spent heading up the canal with Sequim being our destination. We spent some time with wild animals slobbering all over our car and sticking their heads right in the windows! Mike & Zach rolled their windows up and down throughout the drive. Liz kept her window up at all times. Carrie kept her window down and camera ready - what a blast! We saw lions and tigers and bears, oh my! as well as elk (like the baby on the left) and bison (right), prairie dogs, a white rhino, yaks, peacocks, goats, wolves, fallow deer, and more. I highly recommend this place - bring a loaf of white bread to feed these guys!

After exploring Sequim (and seeing more deer in people's yards than we could count!) we headed to Port Angeles where we would stay for a couple of days. From there we would take day trips to Lake Crescent (beautiful) and Sol Duc Hot Springs, which was a HUGE disappointment and waste of money. We ate a lot, swam a lot, and rocked out to 80's music - good times! Our last day in PA would not disappoint - the skies were clear and blue and perfect for a trip up to Hurricane Ridge, where the view of the Olympics can't be beat! See photos on my next post!
